If you are used to the cities of the east coast or Europe, Los Angeles barely feels like a city at all. Rather, it is something like an extended suburb. Despite this dispersion, it does have distinct neighborhoods, places to walk and explore, and, of special importance to us Kalebergs, many wonderful places to eat. As a bonus, Los Angeles also offers a beautiful natural setting, with surprisingly wild parkland and excellent beach access along the coast.
