The Periodic Table Display

The basic display is the Periodic Table itself. The atomic number and symbol for the element are always displayed. You can display one other property using the Show Property pulldown menu.

There are three coloring options:

No Coloring - just show the property and the white background
Color Range - shows the value of the property as a color interpolated between the Min(imum) and Max(imum) Color - click on the color box to change the color
Color Threshhold - shows the value as either the Min or Max Color depending on whether it is above or below the threshhold value set by the horizontal slider between the colors (see below for a picture of this)

You can use the File > New menu item to create multiple windows showing the Periodic Table.

Printing and Exporting

To print a Periodic Table, use the File > Print menu item. The first time you print it will present a page setup dialog. You should set up for landscape rather than portrait to get a better print out.

To export a Periodic Table, use the File > Export Image menu item. It will present you with a save image dialog to select the output format and file to create. The resulting image size will be the same as the on screen display in the window.

Single Element Display

If you click on an element in the Periodic Table, a window displaying all the properties for that element will be displayed.
