Right off the road leading into El Questro there is a jagged mound formed of the local rock and sand. It would be hard to miss this landmark, even in the days before a road passed here. The strange eroded forms give this site an eerie feel.
The art work is painted on the inside of a small, shallow cave at the base of one of the major hills comprising this odd formation. The space is not large, but it could easily have served as a shelter.
