Chamberlain Gorge is a quiet section of the Chamberlain River with high rock walls and fresh water crocodiles.
At one end of the gorge, a short electric boat ride from the landing, is a wall of aboriginal art painted on the sheltered walls of the canyon.
Some of the paintings are over 18,000 years old. This date is based on the carbon 14 analysis of wasps nests which obscure some of the paintings.
