We were rather disappointed in Cru, but in truth, our meal could have gone either way. Cru is really two restaurants with two different menus. There is a straightforward, rather simple, rather workmanlike a la carte menu, and there is a fascinating, intriguing tasting menu. We were not really interested in the former. There was no point in pursuing the matter at Cru if we were to get a meal we could really eat anywhere. Unfortunately, we were just not up to the full tasting menu, especially not with five, or more, glasses of wine. It was just too much food, too much to taste, too much to drink.
So, we went to the Tabla Bread Bar instead.
